The name Oholongo meaning “Kudu” in the Oshiwambo language describes what Oholongo is all about. Oholongo farming specializes in a breeding programme for this specific species. These sensitive yet elegant animals are the pride of this farm. Tranquil yet alert to danger is evident when you experience a game drive on Oholongo. Due to the fact that in 6 years no firearm has been fired on these makes the observer pass at 10 to 15 meters away on a moving vehicle without them being alarmed going about their usual feeding routine.

The ultimate thrill is when Africa’s Grey Ghost passes by your hide within a meter  not being aware of your scent or presence. The entertainment at the waterhole will satisfy any observer and boredom will not cross your mind. Relaxed and humorous warthog are a norm of the day. The flattering wings of hundreds of doves and the swish of guinea fowl landing at the waterhole will let you stare in disbelief at what nature can present at any one given moment.

Whether sitting in a hide or walk-and-stalk are your forte Oholongo will let you enjoy a unique experience Towering red termite hills fill the acacia tree landscape with golden stretches of savannah grass will take your breathe away as the African sun bows behind the picturesque fleezy cloud horizon.
